THE MADDEST TEA PARTY

Mad,because,it follows the story,
The story of Alice who fell down the hole,
Into a world full of bizarre characters ,and more,
Just like the history of the Kashmiri soul,

With all kinds of characters that came forth and still do,
The common Kashmiri is reduced to just ink,
With each stroke of the writer's pen,
The Kashmiri is caught between the words;not able to think,

With so many characters ,let's start with one,
The March Hare, whose name fits really well,
Because he is missing in winter and shows up in spring,
In Wonderland, throughout the summer,he will dwell,

He will start the summer with a cheer for the masses,
Mind you;he is not supported by all;
His group includes the common man and the classes.
Ever ready to attend to his call,

Kashmir, his summer home, will bubble to the boiling point,
The “normal” life will slow down and stall,
With all the youth that come out at his behest,
Many will be struck with reality ,and fall,

Then comes the Queen of Hearts,
Promising the moon;she smiles with glee,
Not doing what really needs to be done,
She loses her temper ,then offers some tea,

The Mad Hatter, sucking the lifeblood of the masses,
And famous for his antics, his chatter,
Plays golf;spends time on the greens,
He never really did change, except he's fatter.
