A hundred days of what?
A hundred days so slow,
A hundred days have passed,
A hundred days,we know,
For the number it represents,
And the blood it has spilled,
For the kids that were blinded,
For the people that were killed,
A milestone for some,
A feather in someone's cap,
A tombstone for others,
A dead child in someone's lap,
A hundred days of struggle,
A hundred days of tears,
A hundred days of confusion,
A hundred days of fears,
A hundred days of dread,
A hundred days we have seen,
With a hundred actions commendable,
And a thousand more, obscene,
A hundred days of hunger,
For those without bread,
When a hundred fools prevented,
A hundred from being fed,
A hundred days for the forces,
With a hundred ways to deal,
With all the ghastly weapons,
An amplified ordeal,
A hundred days without school,
A hundred books not read,
With a hundred excuses in the morning,
To death's door, were the children lead,
A hundred days of this circus,
The leaders that run the show,
With a hundred clowns to boot,
Who let the economy blow,
Blasted to the past,
No vision for the future,
These cuts just won't heal;
There is no way to suture,
That's what happens to leaders,
With logic at the speed of snails,
In a confused conundrum, full of delusion,
When the dog does not wag it's tail,
With the expected propriety missing,
They start by holding it's tail,
Then they swing their fists and wag the dog,
And still don't think that they failed.
And the blood it has spilled,
For the kids that were blinded,
For the people that were killed,
A milestone for some,
A feather in someone's cap,
A tombstone for others,
A dead child in someone's lap,
A hundred days of struggle,
