Like a whisper of the breeze that shakes the leaves,
Quiet because we do resist this harder thought, slightly,
Wisdom from within,stunted,comes from without,
As the colours change with the seasons,
And the leaves fall from the branches,
We run out of the compelling reasons,
And wonder what it is all about,
To stay in the dark about what holds true,
To ignore the wisdom that tickles our ears,
In all the things that we are accustomed to do,
So ,now,we see why we gave in to our fears,
It is never too late to accept the truth,
Regardless of how it is brought,
For all the reasons that we do resist,
What makes us civilized is thought.
And the leaves fall from the branches,
We run out of the compelling reasons,
And wonder what it is all about,
To stay in the dark about what holds true,
To ignore the wisdom that tickles our ears,
In all the things that we are accustomed to do,
So ,now,we see why we gave in to our fears,
It is never too late to accept the truth,
Regardless of how it is brought,
For all the reasons that we do resist,
What makes us civilized is thought.
