OF PATHS AND TRAILS

Tossed between two forces,
With no one ready to care,
The people yearn for peace,
And a life devoid of fear,

Too many people have died,
A far too many disappeared.
With no one accepting the guilt,
Nothing but the worst is feared,

I understand the logic of resistance,
Not to bow down;to protest,
A shorter life with dignity,
Is better than a long one, oppressed,

But the rate at which people are dying,
An army can afford to lose many,
But,sooner or later,my friends,
Kashmiris:There won't be any,

So,if our inevitable extinction,
Is at the end of our path,
We need to pick a machete,
And then proceed to cut a new swathe,

So shun this method of protest,
Express in a different way,
Kashmiris need to survive,
Until the Judgement Day.
