The doves of peace we killed and ate,
For all the peace that we could get,
We easily resigned ourselves to fate,
As if the things we hate will go,
As if ,our guilt will vanish in light,
As much we think that we did try,
It never really did stop the fight,
We follow like lambs the shepherds that lead,
We do rejoice;the denial we keep,
Not thinking once that, lambs, we are not,
We don't see that the abyss is deep,
Down the hole where rabbits stay,
We like to join the group,
Our conscience, dead,on the table it lays,
In the mad hatter's troupe.
As if ,our guilt will vanish in light,
As much we think that we did try,
It never really did stop the fight,
We follow like lambs the shepherds that lead,
We do rejoice;the denial we keep,
Not thinking once that, lambs, we are not,
We don't see that the abyss is deep,
Down the hole where rabbits stay,
We like to join the group,
Our conscience, dead,on the table it lays,
In the mad hatter's troupe.
