A unique st'ry of
loveth,
And a painful
betrayal,
Mine own poem may
giveth t justice,
Through mine own
humble p'rtrayal,
The ripples in mine
own restless mind,
Remindeth me of a
timeth,
F'r the young,a
myst'ry,
F'r the rest,it's
hist'ry,
The mountains in the
h'rizon,
Peeking through the
clouds,
The protecteth'rs of
the vale,
Majestic,beautiful,and
tall,
Protective,in the
fullest senseth,
F'r,whenev'r the
Moguls did attack,
The mountains
stoodeth firm,
The ancient
f'rbidding walls;
The barri'rs in
Kashmir's defence,
A people yond thy
soldi'rs couldst not defeat
With all the battles
yond w're combated,
Then,finally
conqu'r'd by deceit,
O ,our lasteth
emp'r'r,I salute thee,
Coequal m're,our
queen,
Still resounding
from peak to peak,
Is h'r s'rrow yond
we haven't seen,
But hath heard in
ev'ry couplet, composed,
The feelings of h'r
broken heart,
Until t gaveth up
and did fail,
Aft'r thee w're
deceived,
By Akbar,who hadst
thee jailed,
Akbar,the most
wondrous apostate,
Und'r the pretext of
a truce,
That gent did invite
thee to his state,
And ,instead of
making peace,
Thy imprisonment,he
decreed,
Neith'r gentle 'r
just,
This wast the
charact'r of Akbar,
And this wast his
cre'd,
A teen,still
rememb'r'd by heart,
And hath passed on
to the gen'ration next,
Or pres'rv'd on
pap'r ,centuries fusty,
The sweet songs from
bef're,
Nay,my queen,those
moments shall nev'r returneth,
Thy soul shall still
pineth,
And the
king,restless,in his grave,
A life with
thee,snatch'd hence,
Thy loveth,he shall
at each moment crave,
Enchanting,kind,and
quite quaint,
Thee wast fondly
hath called the moon,
Kashmiris shall
nev'r f'rget thee,
Qur belov'd
queen,Habba Khatoon,
Neith'r shall we
f'rget the treach'ry,
Of the Mogul,titl'd
"Great",
This shall nev'r
beest f'rgotten,
Hist'ry shall
carryeth the weight.
